Scott Walker’s campaign ended the moment Trump came on the scene saying the right things on immigration. Walker had plenty of time beforehand to grab the issue of 2016 but he refused, like all the Chamber of Commerce candidates. Trump then seized the issue.
Walker reacted to Trump by joining the chorus of Elites criticizing him–and his numbers began to freefall.
Walker’s campaign ended because he didn’t get the issue of immigration correct.
The Chamber is now in the process of pressuring the other establishment candidates with low numbers to get out. It appears that Rubio and Bush will be the rallying points.
It will come down to them versus Trump.
This race has always been about the base vs. the chamber on the issue of immigration.
